Just a note to say that I am alive to bug with more posts!

I know its been a real long time bugging my blogger friends. Days just passed by like any thing. Life has never moved so fast earlier. Hm.. What do I bore my friends about this time??? Yeah. Its about an interesting movie that I happened to see recently - 'Up in the air'. Its not a new movie though, may be i saw it only recently. Oh yeah..I know ..I have been watching a lot of movies lately and I am also aware that my friends had been teasing me about it. So i just thought its better i admit it myself. At times when you really wanna kill time, this is what you do. Try it urself and you will understand is what i challenged my friends :P
Well, coming back to the movie. Its a very nice movie which is about three characters. 1. A person who does the job of firing people. 2. Young gal who is trying to computerize the firing job. 3. Woman who passes by and grabs the second main role in the movie is what i felt about this third person.
Its a movie which makes you realize that - what you are paid @ work is not gonna live with you forever and if you don't make the right decision at the right time then the right decision might be a wrong decision if made at the wrong time :P Not bad, I have confused enough! :D Mission accomplished!
Apart from all these, George Clooney is a good looking guy (dude :D ) to stare at, so I just decided that whatever the story might be or however the movie might be I watch it till the end :D
Well message thats conveyed in the movie : 1) Never break up with any one over SMS and 2) Whatever you might do, if you dont make your boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife feel that you are caring and concerned about that person, who knows, he/she might not be with you any longer emotionally and physically :P
You feel that I am exaggerating? Then why dont you watch the movie yourself and let me know what the message is? ;)
C Ya TILL I bug you guys the next time!

Wisdom of Our Fathers

Effort of resurrection: After a very long time trying to catch up with the world that I was missing so far. I happened to read couple of books in the past few months which include ‘Wisdom of Our Fathers’. The book inspired me to write a review about it.
Pages: 275+
Title: Wisdom of our Fathers
Author: Tim Russert
The first few pages explain how this book came into existence. Tim wrote a book titled ‘Big Russ and me’ in the year 2004 which carved way for this book. The later chapters are collection of letters that were written by the readers of the first book. Tim has taken great effort in categorizing the letters from the readers. Publishing all the letters is no big deal but choosing the appropriate title and presenting it in a way that’s readable and enjoyable takes a great deal of time and effort. Also the book doesn’t restrict the views only by sons but as well daughters. For some strange reason when I started reading this book I was expecting more contribution from the Sons of the Fathers than from the Daughters, but as I flipped couple of pages and reached to the chapter -‘Daddy’s Girl’ I was proved that my presumption was wrong.
There is one chapter ‘Loss’ in the entire book which I really didn’t want to read. While reading this chapter eventually you will notice yourself laughing out loud with wet eyes. May be I would categorize it as the most sentimental pages in the book.
Choice of the words and the subject are pretty good that you will not feel like laying the book down. I would say the most difficult task while jotting your thoughts is when you try to explain a relationship that you cherish/cherished with a person who is intimate to you by heart and soul. It is even more difficult if it happens to be with a person to whom you have high respect and unconditional love. As I have noticed, in this book this most difficult task was made so easy. All the contributors have explained their natural feeling about their father which includes both the positive and negative aspects with ease. This would be the highlight of the book since the book doesn’t speak just about Perfect Dads but also about the dad’s who had their own weaknesses and who also contributed to the disappointment of the family at some point in life and still they are the best for their kids. May be I would say ‘The prerequisite to be loved is not being the best but being yourself’ in any relationship.
There are two chapters which I really enjoyed reading- ‘Being there’ and ‘Loan’. ‘Being there’ explains that a kid doesn’t expect anything more than a father’s presence at any circumstance. All that it matters to a kid is the very assurance of ‘being there’. ‘Loan’ epitomizes that what seems minor to one can be monumental to the other. Sounds absurd? May be you have to catch hold of the book to know more.
On a final note, this is a book which should be a must read for all the Fathers and for all those who has/had a father-son/daughter relationship. If you do not fall in either of the above two categories then feel free to ignore, it’s just waste of time. ;)
On a serious note, Tim the Book is indeed a tribute to the Fatherhood! Thank you for such a great contribution. I Look forward to read the book ‘Big Russ and Me’ pretty soon.
Dads are always great. My personal opinion is I should be really lucky to get a dad for being there always and for being supportive in all the decision that I make. Dad has never stopped me from doing anything rather he would explain the Pros and Cons and leave the final decision as mine. When you are given the liberty to make decision on your own you will eventually be more responsible than ever. And I would always love to show off that My dad is the best. Love you Dad!

Negative Emotion come in series?

Why am i not feeling the same way when I am happy? Why cannot I recollect all the good things that has happened and be even more happier? I feel that negative emotions come in series where as positive emotions come all alone. Is this only to me or do you feel the same too? I am still wondering..........
While I am typing this post my mobile was buzzing and when I shared this with my friend, I was told "Why the hell do you have to waste time when you are happy by thinking some thing weird like this?" May be he is right ;) Thats all for now. Tata..
P.S: I am bored of giving reason for not updating the blog! This time let me leave it to the imagination of readers as why I didnt update for a long time :D

Your Vows please ;)

A movie which makes you understand what to expect in life after marriage. Me being a supporter of Love marriages, have always been thinking that only love marriages are nothing less than perfect, this movie has made me think in a different dimension. This is not a statement which conveys that the movie has depicted the negative sides of a relation between two couple who has expressed their willingness to live their rest of life together but has also depicted the corrective measures to be taken when a relationship is likely to sink.
The first half of the movie goes around with the prior statement of mine in the above sentence and the rest of the movie with the latter statement. Heroine’s family members play a major role in conveying that a commitment like marriage not only requires the understanding of the couple but also the sociability that’s developed with either of the family members by the couple.
(Hero – Ben and Heroin- Sadie) Robin Williams plays an effective role but his sense of humor in this movie is not as impressive as in his other movies. May be it is justifiable because of the subject of the movie and the role he played as well. Nevertheless the message that his role conveys is highly effective and it does make a profound influence on the way you look at marriage. For all my friends who have recently got engaged and few others who have got married, Badri and Indu, Senthil and Mrs Senthil, Jagan and Jhansi, Dinesh and Mrs Dinesh,Senthil and Preethi, Aditi and (Aditi’s Fiancée) *Aditi, sorry di :D Name aprama unkita ketutu edit panren*, Revathy and Shankar. I wish an incredible journey with a wonderful partner.
Actually who are likely to get engaged list’um podanum but pinnadi pala pin vilaivugal santhikka neridum enbathal pona poguthunu podama vidren :P Purinjukka vendiya nanbar nanbigal enoda nalla manasa purinjukongapa! :D
1) I promise not to check out your hot sister
2) I promise to clip my nails (once in a while)
3) I promise to give you a hug whenever you are down
To make it more inspiring and interesting, comment your vows as well. : D Who knows you might get your so called wonderful partner after reading your vows here :P

Cashing big on dreams!

The author has mentioned about his personal and professional life with exact mixture very cautiously . It cannot be categorized as an autobiography completely and the book has managed to give a satisfactory read on the management side as well. Nice guide for young entrepreneurs.
The initial chapters deal with precise idea on setting your dream and the possible ways to approach it. The later chapters deal with the obstacles the author faced to realize his dream. The decline in his professional life after reaching the top-most designation in his entire career is very well explained. The way he managed to hit the correct balance between the professional and personal life is more inspiring and challenging. The author without much effort has explained the failures or the unexpected happenings which served as stepping stones that he came across. Many anecdotes make us realize that failures are not just for us but for great industrialists too. It makes us understand that the greatest achievements overshadows the greatest failures at some point in life. A few lines from the book would explain my above statement.
"Deven, I have been listening to heaps of praises about you for over two years. It looks like they were just baloney. I fought for you right up to Jack Welch. Now you have the guts to tell me that you want to quit. Go back and work on a blue print of making YMS sourcing the best global sourcing operation in entire GE and deliver min 8% productivity every year consistently. You have all the qualities in making this happen. I will give you four weeks to come back with your plan."
Apart from all these the author has also thrown some light on the country Japan, Japanese culture, language, tradition and the Japanese community. He has introduced a few words in Japanese along with English translation which makes the read more interesting. A few words that were very impressive which I could not forget are.
"Honne - is what you would actually say, do or feel. Tatemae- is a more logical answer or a view that you say or show to please the other. "

The author has taken great effort to speak his mind and heart with the right proportion. The above image might serve as a supporting fact for the above statement of mine.
Crystal clear facts:
- Not the most spoken about book ( I was greatly appalled to see that the book had only one reader in a social network for books.)
- Leisure read and not a book that demands serious attention.
- 100% satisfactory read.

Most stupid questions people usually ask ;)
I was reading few age old mails that was in Unread list and i happened to see this nice mail. While i was reading was ROTFL :D and i actually scared people at home. Got reminded of this old post of mine as well. Read when you are totally idle like me and enjoy the read. I have added few incidents that I met with and i will be happy if i come to know if i was not the only one :D who got/gave such bulbs :P
1. At the movies:When you meet acquaintances/ friends
Stupid Question:-Hey, what are you doing here?
Answer:-Well, it's so hot , there were no cool cabs
so I thought i'd watch some advertisements in
the cool comfort of the theatre.
Stupid Question:-Sorry, did that hurt?
Answer:-No, not at all, I'm on local anesthesia.. ...
why don't you try again or should i try this
time."
3. In our college canteen during Infy training session while i was eating chocobar,
My Classmate: Pons, can you give your lab note book i need to copy the reading.
Me: (Interestingly licking dripping ice cream from my hand) Didnt hear anything actually and didnt notice him also!Other friend: Yey Prady is asking you something. Pls come out to the world.
Classmate: You are eating ice cream huh?
Me: Huh! No I am licking the ice cream.
Actually he blew it to the whole class that I was licking ice cream than eating it!
4. At a funeral:One of the teary-eyed people ask
Stupid Question:-Why, why him, of all people.
Answer:-Why? Would it rather have been you?
5. At a restaurant:When you ask the waiter
Stupid Question:-Is the "blah blah blah" dish good
Answer:-No, its terrible and made of adulterated
cement. We occasionally also spit in it.
6. When a friend announces her wedding, and you ask
Stupid Question:-Is the guy you're marrying good?
Answer:-No,he' s a miserable wife-beating , insensitive
lout...it's just the money.
7. When you get woken up at midnight by a phone call
Stupid Question:-Sorry. were you sleeping.
Answer:-No. I was playing cricket for India at
Sharjah and just when you called Salim Malik
was betting with me that Pakistan would
win. What do you think?
8. You are smoking a cigarette and a cute woman asks
Stupid Question:-Oh, so you smoke
Answer:-No, it's a miracle ...........
9. In the temple,
School friend: Saami kumbuda vanthiya
Me: Illa parotta vum pooriyum sapdalamnu vanthen
