Oh come on Smile Please!  :)

Yeah just smile, what do you have to lose? There are so many out there who just want to see a smile from some one. Your smile could make some one's day. Or it could even make them forget all their worries for a split second at least.

There are so many days wherein I look upon people's face to see the reaction as what they do, how they react on seeing us. Some react as if you never exist and some other gives a disdain look and yeah very rarely I get a very warm smile. There are a group of people who would give a blank look but I guess this at least is acceptable.

So the moral of the short blogpost is to Smile when you get a chance. And yeah I just mean a friendly unexpecting smile.

Your smile can make wonders in some one else's life. Cheers!

Long time no see...

Are you wondering what made me login in to Blogger.com and scribble something after a long time? Oh yeah, its not that am bored and its not that I want to update my blog, its only because I was reminded about a friend with whom I am no longer in touch with. Or to put it in another way, with whom I no longer wanted to have touch with or time just slipped off and we are feeling far away from each other both geometrically as well as emotionally.

|

What do you do when you miss a friend? I usually make a phone call or visit that friend, but when you just don't want to do that what do you do? :) I didn't know what else to do other than sharing it with my dearie dearie friend - My Journal (Blog)

Have you ever had a feeling that you became too close to this friend and you feel like you were with this friend for ages? Like you don't have to explain yourself but this friend understands you so much. But you really have no idea what made you feel afar from this friend? Is it because either of you got busy or either/both of your priorities changed in life?

:( I have no answer for all these but I am just sure that I miss this friend of mine very very badly now!

Miss you!

P.S: Hey you, You who is reading this post, it might be you as well whom I am missing right now. You might be the friend am looking for :) So why don't you just drop a hi 2 me now! ;)

Impact of Facebook in my life! :D

Hi Hi Hi...Atlast I have achieved opening blogger.com successfully after months. :) Hope every one is doing good. Even though I missed my blogger friends and the blogs, I was too lazy to get back to the Blog routine. Now that I am back, I would like to share what kept me occupied or busy whenever I felt aloof despite of the fact that am home alone almost 10 hours of the day.

Even though I am in a different phase of life and I like it very much, there are times when you feel the void in life (mostly when my hubby is at work). These are the times I dig myself in 'Facebook'. I am sure Facebook doesnt need any introduction. But I am just surprised how Facebook changes lives. Some times I also feel that I get to meet all my friends/ family members whom I miss in no time. Oh Yeah, when i see its just the Virtual Meet :) And you have loads of games to keep you busy if there are none to bug in facebook or to be bugged at that point of time.

The negative aspect is You are contented that your social network is fullfilled and in the reality you do nothing about it. All you do is just in the WWW :) and not in the real 'touch and feel' life! :)

On an unrelated note ;) thanks to facebook and my friends in there :)
P.S: Its my 80th Post :D

Just a note to say that I am alive to bug with more posts!

I know its been a real long time bugging my blogger friends. Days just passed by like any thing. Life has never moved so fast earlier. Hm.. What do I bore my friends about this time??? Yeah. Its about an interesting movie that I happened to see recently - 'Up in the air'. Its not a new movie though, may be i saw it only recently. Oh yeah..I know ..I have been watching a lot of movies lately and I am also aware that my friends had been teasing me about it. So i just thought its better i admit it myself. At times when you really wanna kill time, this is what you do. Try it urself and you will understand is what i challenged my friends :P

Well, coming back to the movie. Its a very nice movie which is about three characters. 1. A person who does the job of firing people. 2. Young gal who is trying to computerize the firing job. 3. Woman who passes by and grabs the second main role in the movie is what i felt about this third person.

Its a movie which makes you realize that - what you are paid @ work is not gonna live with you forever and if you don't make the right decision at the right time then the right decision might be a wrong decision if made at the wrong time :P Not bad, I have confused enough! :D Mission accomplished!

Apart from all these, George Clooney is a good looking guy (dude :D ) to stare at, so I just decided that whatever the story might be or however the movie might be I watch it till the end :D

Well message thats conveyed in the movie : 1) Never break up with any one over SMS and 2) Whatever you might do, if you dont make your boyfriend/girlfriend, husband/wife feel that you are caring and concerned about that person, who knows, he/she might not be with you any longer emotionally and physically :P

You feel that I am exaggerating? Then why dont you watch the movie yourself and let me know what the message is? ;)

C Ya TILL I bug you guys the next time!

Wisdom of Our Fathers

Effort of resurrection: After a very long time trying to catch up with the world that I was missing so far. I happened to read couple of books in the past few months which include ‘Wisdom of Our Fathers’. The book inspired me to write a review about it.
Pages: 275+
Title: Wisdom of our Fathers
Author: Tim Russert

The first few pages explain how this book came into existence. Tim wrote a book titled ‘Big Russ and me’ in the year 2004 which carved way for this book. The later chapters are collection of letters that were written by the readers of the first book. Tim has taken great effort in categorizing the letters from the readers. Publishing all the letters is no big deal but choosing the appropriate title and presenting it in a way that’s readable and enjoyable takes a great deal of time and effort. Also the book doesn’t restrict the views only by sons but as well daughters. For some strange reason when I started reading this book I was expecting more contribution from the Sons of the Fathers than from the Daughters, but as I flipped couple of pages and reached to the chapter -‘Daddy’s Girl’ I was proved that my presumption was wrong.

There is one chapter ‘Loss’ in the entire book which I really didn’t want to read. While reading this chapter eventually you will notice yourself laughing out loud with wet eyes. May be I would categorize it as the most sentimental pages in the book.

Choice of the words and the subject are pretty good that you will not feel like laying the book down. I would say the most difficult task while jotting your thoughts is when you try to explain a relationship that you cherish/cherished with a person who is intimate to you by heart and soul. It is even more difficult if it happens to be with a person to whom you have high respect and unconditional love. As I have noticed, in this book this most difficult task was made so easy. All the contributors have explained their natural feeling about their father which includes both the positive and negative aspects with ease. This would be the highlight of the book since the book doesn’t speak just about Perfect Dads but also about the dad’s who had their own weaknesses and who also contributed to the disappointment of the family at some point in life and still they are the best for their kids. May be I would say ‘The prerequisite to be loved is not being the best but being yourself’ in any relationship.
There are two chapters which I really enjoyed reading- ‘Being there’ and ‘Loan’. ‘Being there’ explains that a kid doesn’t expect anything more than a father’s presence at any circumstance. All that it matters to a kid is the very assurance of ‘being there’. ‘Loan’ epitomizes that what seems minor to one can be monumental to the other. Sounds absurd? May be you have to catch hold of the book to know more.

On a final note, this is a book which should be a must read for all the Fathers and for all those who has/had a father-son/daughter relationship. If you do not fall in either of the above two categories then feel free to ignore, it’s just waste of time. ;)

On a serious note, Tim the Book is indeed a tribute to the Fatherhood! Thank you for such a great contribution. I Look forward to read the book ‘Big Russ and Me’ pretty soon.

Dads are always great. My personal opinion is I should be really lucky to get a dad for being there always and for being supportive in all the decision that I make. Dad has never stopped me from doing anything rather he would explain the Pros and Cons and leave the final decision as mine. When you are given the liberty to make decision on your own you will eventually be more responsible than ever. And I would always love to show off that My dad is the best. Love you Dad!

Have i come with a tag "You wanna sit in this seat?"

On the way back to Bangalore from Chennai, a girl was sitting in Coach C2 Lalbagh Express and was talking in phone with one of her friends. There came a blushing young lady who asked "We have come for our honey moon. He is sittng there and my seat is here. Do you mind swapping the seats?". The girl promptly responded, "No problem" despite of the fact that she wanted to say "Yeah I am single and I have come alone so i can sit where ever you want me 2". After couple of minutes, there came another lady who requested "We have come with our new born baby and it would be too difficult to manage the baby all alone. If you dont mind can you sit over there so that I can have my hubby be seated with me". Again despite of the fact that she wanted to say "Yeah I am single and I have come alone so i can sit where ever you want me 2", the girl sat in the pointed place.

After settling down in the new place, she continued the conversation with her friend in the phone again. There came two old ladies, who said "We are elderly people and we have come alone. She is my sister. It will be comfortable if we can sit together." The girl jumped out of the seat and asked "Whats your seat number please?" Both the ladies said "Thank you so much. God bless you!" in unison. One of the lady said "There is a lot of change in the present generation. They are unlike us". Friend on the phone said "Please tell them that you will also get married one day or the other and you will also have your honey moon and you will also become old and tell them you will handle them at that point of time!"

Wondering if the girl has come with the tag "You wanna sit in this seat?"

Negative Emotion come in series?

I was happy today for some strange reason which made me wonder about some thing else. Last time when I was down I remember that my brain accumulated all the reason for me to be more bugged and sad. It was more like my brain said, "Hey you are feeling bad for just one thing that happened. Here! I would gather all the things that has happened in the recent past to feel even more bad or worse!"
Why am i not feeling the same way when I am happy? Why cannot I recollect all the good things that has happened and be even more happier? I feel that negative emotions come in series where as positive emotions come all alone. Is this only to me or do you feel the same too? I am still wondering..........

While I am typing this post my mobile was buzzing and when I shared this with my friend, I was told "Why the hell do you have to waste time when you are happy by thinking some thing weird like this?" May be he is right ;) Thats all for now. Tata..

P.S: I am bored of giving reason for not updating the blog! This time let me leave it to the imagination of readers as why I didnt update for a long time :D

Your Vows please ;)

Licence to Wed
A movie which makes you understand what to expect in life after marriage. Me being a supporter of Love marriages, have always been thinking that only love marriages are nothing less than perfect, this movie has made me think in a different dimension. This is not a statement which conveys that the movie has depicted the negative sides of a relation between two couple who has expressed their willingness to live their rest of life together but has also depicted the corrective measures to be taken when a relationship is likely to sink.

The first half of the movie goes around with the prior statement of mine in the above sentence and the rest of the movie with the latter statement. Heroine’s family members play a major role in conveying that a commitment like marriage not only requires the understanding of the couple but also the sociability that’s developed with either of the family members by the couple.

(Hero – Ben and Heroin- Sadie) Robin Williams plays an effective role but his sense of humor in this movie is not as impressive as in his other movies. May be it is justifiable because of the subject of the movie and the role he played as well. Nevertheless the message that his role conveys is highly effective and it does make a profound influence on the way you look at marriage. For all my friends who have recently got engaged and few others who have got married, Badri and Indu, Senthil and Mrs Senthil, Jagan and Jhansi, Dinesh and Mrs Dinesh,Senthil and Preethi, Aditi and (Aditi’s Fiancée) *Aditi, sorry di :D Name aprama unkita ketutu edit panren*, Revathy and Shankar. I wish an incredible journey with a wonderful partner.
Special wishes to Sanjayan and Uma who are gonna celebrate their 1st anniversary in the near future :D

Actually who are likely to get engaged list’um podanum but pinnadi pala pin vilaivugal santhikka neridum enbathal pona poguthunu podama vidren :P Purinjukka vendiya nanbar nanbigal enoda nalla manasa purinjukongapa! :D

Few inspiring vows made by the guy from the movie:
1) I promise not to check out your hot sister
2) I promise to clip my nails (once in a while)
3) I promise to give you a hug whenever you are down
To make it more inspiring and interesting, comment your vows as well. : D Who knows you might get your so called wonderful partner after reading your vows here :P

Its about nothing but me!

Its about nothing but me!
Hello,
This post is just a small update from my side :) There were lot of friends who were really concerned about what I am upto having been disconnected from the Virtual world for quite sometime. Joined Wipro (Hyderabad) in the month of Jan and hence the sudden vanishing act! The place (Hyderabad), the people and the office are all good so far. Last weekend have been to Charminar and Shilparamam. Have planned many other places as well for the coming week. Wipro had culturals last weekend which took place in People's plaza and we had a real great time.
Things that I wanna pen down jus for tha sake of reading after years to cherish these memories..
1) 1st Day I was not given the access card but the id card alone and without the access card I was trying to swipe in like a fool. After a long time, one person came and told, your card is not recognised and check if you have access card. Till then I didnt know there is a card behind the id card :D
2) Wending machines can be used without paying :D Hehehe.. This is one thing that really fascinated me! I badly wanted to make a note of this because as years pass by these might be something thats very usual in life. : )
3) 1st time being away from home has both good and bad experiences :D
Hostel life is too good. Got acquaintance with lot of people and its good to see people with various culture and lifestyle. :D Chatting till 2 or 3 about what happened in the day, who spoke what, who did what, in between arguing, fighitng and teasing is all total fun :D
I feel there are lots and lots to share while I talk over the phone with near and dear ones : ) .. Each and every second has millions of incidences to be shared. :D In short life is happening and kicking :D
I still remember that I have some pending tags to be written which I promise to do it very soon. Thank you for the awards from Shalini, Kutti Balu, Sudhakar and Melanie.
p.s:1) I cautiously avoided the bad experiences like being home sick, food, too many responsblities (which I was not really prepared of :( ) etc :D Atha pathiye oru post potudalam :P
2) By the way let me know how the lay out of the blog post is since this is a new way, I am trying to make a post.
Ippothaku avlothan,
aprama kandukren
tata! : )
Have a good day!

Cashing big on dreams!

For the first time a book inspired me to blog about it. If you are a person who would not want to spend time in useful reading then this is not the right book. If you are a person who wants to be in a dream world but not ready to have a dream of your own, then again this is not the right kind of book for you. There are so many people with different attitudes which everyone of us have come across but if you want to see a book which has a right attitude then this would be the apt book. Yeah, this is a book which expresses its own attitude in a subtle manner.

The author has mentioned about his personal and professional life with exact mixture very cautiously . It cannot be categorized as an autobiography completely and the book has managed to give a satisfactory read on the management side as well. Nice guide for young entrepreneurs.

The initial chapters deal with precise idea on setting your dream and the possible ways to approach it. The later chapters deal with the obstacles the author faced to realize his dream. The decline in his professional life after reaching the top-most designation in his entire career is very well explained. The way he managed to hit the correct balance between the professional and personal life is more inspiring and challenging. The author without much effort has explained the failures or the unexpected happenings which served as stepping stones that he came across. Many anecdotes make us realize that failures are not just for us but for great industrialists too. It makes us understand that the greatest achievements overshadows the greatest failures at some point in life. A few lines from the book would explain my above statement.

"Deven, I have been listening to heaps of praises about you for over two years. It looks like they were just baloney. I fought for you right up to Jack Welch. Now you have the guts to tell me that you want to quit. Go back and work on a blue print of making YMS sourcing the best global sourcing operation in entire GE and deliver min 8% productivity every year consistently. You have all the qualities in making this happen. I will give you four weeks to come back with your plan."

Apart from all these the author has also thrown some light on the country Japan, Japanese culture, language, tradition and the Japanese community. He has introduced a few words in Japanese along with English translation which makes the read more interesting. A few words that were very impressive which I could not forget are.

"Honne - is what you would actually say, do or feel. Tatemae- is a more logical answer or a view that you say or show to please the other. "

The author has taken great effort to speak his mind and heart with the right proportion. The above image might serve as a supporting fact for the above statement of mine.

Crystal clear facts:
  • Not the most spoken about book ( I was greatly appalled to see that the book had only one reader in a social network for books.)
  • Leisure read and not a book that demands serious attention.
  • 100% satisfactory read.
