Shock for the Nation!!! (Believe it or not)
Do you know thatRight now, India is the richest country in the world!
Wondering how? It's really amazing.
It's due to Mr. G Vaidyaraj, who donated all his
wealth, about which he actually did not know.
He is a descendent of Raja Krishnadev Raya from
Mysore district.
For the last 300 years or so, three stones were
worshipped in his house. But nobody tried to see what it was, except
this
person, who is a lawyer by profession. One day, when there was nobody in
his
house, he took the stone out to see what it was that they worship.
Due to the dust deposited on it, from many many
years, it looked only like a simple stone.
But when he touched it, some portion of the stone
was cleansed.
And he saw a bright ray of light.
He saw something which attracted his attention.
And he was amazed when he cleaned all of them. The whole room was
filled with light.
He discovered they were diamonds of about 4600 carats each.
He informed the Govt. of India and the news is censored with its
security.
It's now deposited in a Swiss Bank.
The cost of single diamond exceeds the GDP of USA + UK.
India can buy virtually 7 developing nations.
Even World Bank does not have enough money to buy it.
One diamond costs thrice the debt of World Bank over India.
One such diamond can buy 10 Bill Gates to you.
And the World Bank has proposed the Indian Govt.
that it can pay India in Installment if it wishes to do so.
India's GDP is 34.25 billion dollars.
Bill Gates property is 95 billion dollars
approximate so that is the way "nature changes".
Mr.Vajpayee has refused to sell it.
He said it will be sold or mortgaged for credit when we need it.
Otherwise right now we have no problems.
You can go through Times of India with a small
column on it a week ago.
Star TV presented a 115 min documentary on it about
15 days ago.
The Hindu with its half page article in it.
After that it was censored as classified.
Another good news
is that in the Desert of Thar a deposit of Oil and Natural gas have
been found.
This stores what Kuwait has in its stomach.
India can go with this ONGC energy reserve with
another 30 years.
And moreover it can export it to other counties.
It's incredible!! But true.
An Indian boy in his 12th standard has disproved Einstein's "Theory of
Relativity".
Shocked? Read on...
Sudarshan Reddy has theoretically proven the existence of a sub-atomic
particle, which can travel at speed greater than that of light,
thereby challenging one of the
fundamental postulates of the "Theory of Relativity".
In his recent research paper submitted to the
Institute of Advanced Physics (IAP) at Trieste (Italy), Sudarshan has
proved the existence of a class of sub-atomic
particles called "leptons", which can travel faster than light.
The international physics community is shocked by this discovery.
Dr.Massimo Martelli, President of the IAP has this to say about the
paper submitted by Sudarshan. "After long, careful and critical
analysis, I can confidently say that Sudarshan's re search papers
show tremendous leap in our understanding of physics. His
investigation mounts up on "leptons". His work builds substantially on
the work of Einstein and others in the field of relativity."
When physicists from Princeton University tried to measure Sudarshan's
IQ with an IQ-meter
(at the American Embassy in Delhi), the meter broke down.
Sudarshan, incidentally, is the brother of Madhu Reddy, the Indian
whiz kid who developed an operating system superior to Microsoft
Windows.
We should all be very proud of these boys.

Project- Vibration Detector.

Hi,
Open House- went on well. Had lots of fun and also gained some practical knowledge about Electronics ;) And my project is 'Vibration Detector'. In short, it detects any heavy vibration and it makes alarm sound. It can be implemented in Car doors, Shop shutters, wardrobe/bureau keyholes etc so that when the thief tries to breakthrough the alarm sound is produced and hence the thief will be caught. With a good sensor we can vary the sensitivity so as to detect even voice signals, seismic waves. It was a great experience teaching the lecturers. I mean explaining the project, circuit, applications etc. Have uploaded a snap of it. Have a look :)
Many were attracted because of the wardrobe/bureau keyhole usage and they asked to sell the kit to them. Especially ladies. May be to keep their jewels (alone) safe :P
That's all for this week. Nothing much. Take care and bye!
PS: All the mugs were really cool and I felt like owning each one of them :D. Thanku for posting them.
Have a nice day,
Ponnarasi.

Mugtagging- Nice game!

Hi,
Planning to do a mini project for the Open house. Was busy in that and hence could'nt update for few days. After a month I have a new resolution for new year. I have decided not to read newspaper and not to listen NEWS. I felt there is no point in knowing about things that are not within our control or for which we are helpless to do anything. I mean the National and International politics. It includes from laying road, water supply etc to Clemenceau, Saddam's unfair trials.
And have been mugtagged by GP. Visit GP's Blog to know more. Applause GP, you have really made a bunch of bloggers to do something on MUGPOST . In the process of searching my mug, cleaned my room. Anna bought a nice mug with Disney and Donald after his first trip to US. Could not find that :(( Er...Its going to bug for few days that I lost/misplaced :o . Anyway have a great weekend.
P.S: 1) Have decided to sign my name alone without dad's name after few of my friends raising a question "How do you sign your biiiiiiiiiiig name each and every time?"
2) Pls let me know if i have left anyof my blogger friends untagged.
Have a great day,
Ponnarasi

India- International Garbage???
Clemenceau found its way to India. For those who are not aware what Clemenceau is- It is a warship (France). Indian officials have agreed to load the wastes into our country. Inspite of the agreement, that more than 50% of the harmful elements should be already cleaned, Clemenceau seems to come to India in its same old form. When such actions has its effects even after several decades, I guess it should be cleared to everyone as what is happening. Many of us are unaware as what is really going on in this issue. Not only this, in the month of July when Nuclear Treaty was signed with U.S was not brought to the common citizens notice. These issues remain a black triangle for everyone.
Even in setting up ITER @ France, whole lot of share was burdened on India. Am wondering as who has the effective role in talking about this or raising a question? Is'nt it a common concern to bring it to citizens notice?? Pls do let me know if we can do anything in these issues.
By the way, almost all the jujubee (Small) culturals are over in the city. Its now time for the King. ;) Yeah, I mean the IIT- Saarang. Visit http://saarang.org/. Those who have already missed the lovely opportunity to see our culturals, try to visit IIT-Saarang. No matter whether we are participating or not ;) there is nothing wrong in being an active viewer. For anything, they need spectators as well. :))
Sulekha has also a major role in this culturals. There is a blogging competition by Sulekha also.

Spending enough time with our family???

Its- culturals week in almost all the colleges, MOP, VIT, SRM, UOM. Any one bored in daily routine life or who wants to recollect your college days, give a visit to one of those colleges. By the way are we spending (enough) time at home? I am proceeding further assuming that the majority of the answer is 'No'. Actually I don't mind even if the answer is going to be Yes ;) I guess neither a working professional nor a student is spending enough time at home. A person who is working is busy in making business/completing his projects and a student is more interested in exploring, knowing about the outside world. The only difference is the latter one is not a compulsory task and the first one is a compulsory task. I realised this only when we had a power failure in the recent past.
Few years ago when this power failure was very frequent in our place, my siblings and me had a very nice time. We used to play Anthakshari, shadow games and anna used to tell so many stories like Thenali, Beerbal, Vikadakavi and a story where the prince should climb 7 mountains to reach the princess (Sorry I don't remember the Title). But these days even if there is a power failure we have inverters/generators. Apart from those all of us are busy doing research in our mobile phones, Ipods, Mp3 players, Discman etc. Though these electronic gadgets have made our life simpler and colorful. We should agree that, it is also taking much of our time. Oh, how can I forget the free talk time, free roaming, free messaging services, if you buy one sim you can take another for free etc proposed by the mobile service providers to attract more people.
Why is that we don't have enough time
- To dine together
- To watch a nice movie
- To have family get-togethers
- To share our daily happenings
- To talk about some general issues (From Suhasini's to Bin Laden's)
Is that we REALLY don't have time or is that we never gave a thought for it? Spare a minute to answer this, which will let us know if we were missing a greater part of joy in our life.
Have a nice day,
Ponnarasi Kothandaraman.

Years are passing by- Getting old day by day-Am not a teenager anymore :(
Happy New Year! Wishing others and getting wishes from others always gives great pleasure. I guess this is the only occasion where we can wish anyone unlike other religious festivals, birthdays, anniversaries etc where we can wish only one particular person. Happened to hear a funny statement while conversing over the phone with one of my friend. He said "I wonder why the hell these people are celebrating New Year not realizing the fact that we are getting older and older after each year". Till certain age all of us wish to get old but only after few years we realize the advantages of being young (not caring or bothering about things that are happening around). Apart from the most frequently heard sentence 'Happy New Year' there exist one another, "Made any resolutions?" For those who have made up their mind to read more books this year. Here are few tips, pasted from a journal. Thought it would be worth sharing. Even if not interested in this particular goal, it might give some general idea to organize our own goal or resolution.
PS: How do I blogroll? :-/ I tried in blogroll.com, but I dont find the list here in my blog. Help me with this pls.
Obstacle: I don't know what's good to read.

College is always fun!
College reopened after vacation. Was eager to see everyone after vacation. Many have put on weight and many have lost weight. For few, holiday was boring and for few others they are still longing for more holidays. My case is, cat on the wall. Surprisingly, I find all the papers interesting in this semester except PD. Not the smoking 'Beedi' ;) How can that be a subject. This is Personality Development-PD. I could hear someone asking, "Personality..?? It can be developed only if there is some." No, never have a doubt, we have great personalities amongst us:)).
Let me brief about the previous semester PD classes. We were asked to bring candles and light them. Each sitting infront of the candle and were asked to look at the candle with dedicated concentration. SirMadam said the higher flame reflects on your concentration. That is if my flame goes higher than my friend's I have more concentration than my friend does. Hahahaha...Funny! Where the hell could he get such stupid logics? Then we were asked to bring EGGS. Thank god SM(SirMadam) didnt turnup for the day. Wondering what SirMadam is...:)) No I should'nt say that. What if by any chance he peeps into my blogs..
SirMadam told that this semester he/she will be taking us outdoor. Inside the campus when we were doing all this. We were talk of the campus. Don't know what he is really upto. Will tell you more stories about PD in future. But ofcourse one way or the other college is always fun. Take care and bye!

Pleasant day!
As soon as we getup, we expect a day as pleasant as a flower. And I expected a pleasant day too. In the evening, we planned to go to a book shop. Was roaming in the same place searching for a better place to park. We came round and round and round several times that I will be able to tell the number of hoardings, shops etc in the same order. Atlast one car left that place and we hurried to catch that place before anyone else could. Sounds silly? Yeah, that was silly. But no other go. Parked the car. Had a short walk till the bookshop. Browsed through all the possible sections. Got 2 books and came to the counter by the time other family members had their browsing. It was a big queue. The crowd was frustrated because of the absence of attenders in other counters. Only one counter was functioning. Finished the rest of the job and came home happily. Had a good time watching a nice tamil movie in TV. Yeah, Day was good as expected. Bytheway, I just came across one of my frequent visting blog, Mr.Dinesh's and thought I would share a nice website from his blog, http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/.
Please do spend some time. Its worth spending. Am still in the search to find how to list my favourite bloggers. I will be happy to know from you as well. Okay, thats all for today.
Have a nice day,

Nature's Play!
Hai! Was quiet busy in holidays and hence could not blog for the past few days. Though the weather was not favorable, had and having a nice vacation. Seems its now time for 'Nature' to play with the human beings. Still humans have their own things/place to fight for. Apart from these there are still many humans who raise a doubt - 'whether they have lost the characters to be identified as human'. The unfair trial taking place for Former President Saddam. Other countries like ours enjoy watching the big show. Hahahaha. Our country is incapable in questioning whenever there is some injustice-taking place to our own people in our own country. Then where comes the question of defending Saddam . But our people are good at blowing small silly cheap issues like the one that happened recently. I am mentioning about the empty vessels of the Tamil cinema industry, none other than Suhasini and Kushboo. Their image would have been held high, had they kept their mouth shut.
Irony is, these ladies don't have control over their tongue; neither their husbands have control over them. In spite of so much commotion and chaos, Maniratnam and Sunder remain only silent spectators. May be they have decided these people are completely out of control. There are still few supporters for these two empty vessels, is still more surprising. May be because they are good artists. But they should wander around and (loose) talk in their own field strictly not out of that. I am seriously thinking if there are any good person who could be mentioned as 'Really good','not selfish','not self-centered' apart from religious, spiritual personalities. Apart from our dad, mom etc. I mean in general, someone should be known to all,(Some famous personality). Pls, let me know if you think that there is someone as such.
Note: 1. @ Dinesh babu, I think its time to take off the trust on 'citibank'. May be their service was good long long ago........
2. @ Senthil, Iceyez & Dinesh thanks for dropping in a nice comment.

Girls- Breaking the rules????
Yeah, blogging after a short break. Went to college after a long time to collect the hall tickets. While on the drive sent a message to one of my friend "Has Sir come?" and was happy to see the reply "No! He is yet to come, all of us are ready at his room". Reached college just after 5minutes sir came. (Gr8, My Guardian angels are around!) For doing nothing we were asked to pay Rs75 each under the name of common fine. Sounds absurd? Yeah it does. Nothing doing only if we pay and get the receipt our hall tickets will be given.
Since our H.O.D was busy (as usual), we were asked to get signature from an another staff who always pretends to be busy at times like this. Having no concern he said, "Will finish my breakfast, pls wait!" Hahahaha... Nice college, nice staff and nice students too ;) ! There the busy man came after half an hour or so, 'velakkennaiya kannla oothiktu'. Found all possible silly mistakes he could, "Who will write the date?", "You don't belong to any section?". May be its been a long time he corrected any answer sheets, so wanted to have fun- finding mistakes. At last, got the signature. Now all of us have to rush into the office to pay fine. Had a feel of participating in a running race. Hehehe...The biggest comedy is all the other department students are much ahead of us, worse than ration queue there was a long queue. We were standing there with long faces, after seeing the loooooooooooooong line, cashier told, 'Ponnunga thaniya pasanga thaniya nillunga'pa' .
As usual few were happy and few were sad listening to this statement. Like disturbed ants, within few seconds, two different queues were formed. But there comes another comedy after few minutes, I saw a new line emerging in between, hahahaha...(Silly idiot! Its not for 3^2). Girls formed another line next to the already existing girls line, may be some real interesting gossip :)), so that they could stand next to next and whisper! I never expected girls did this mess. There came a comment "Cha girls'ey ipdiya". Insulting, but that was true. Guys were quiet decent to maintain their own queue. But they had their own way, one guy was having around 30 students fine and was waiting ah.. (Its not just getting the receipt, we should get a seal in another sheet with college name). In between these chaos, a junior tried to slide herself inside the line, though I was not directly affected, I was irritated, so showed that anger to that girl by saying "Follow the queue!" and she immediately gave me a reply by saying, "No, Am thinking which queue to follow." (Oops....human psychology- showing our superiority to a much junior person ;)). Till that moment I never knew people could think only after coming and standing in the middle of a queue. All these are simple things! Though its part of college life, I guess we should behave like a matured person at least while doing a professional course. I really had a feel like standing in some cinema theatre for tickets. Worst thing is same attitude will be developed even when we happen to be in a crowd, where there would be no one known like in the case of college. We will be showered with wonderful comments like, 'Kannu therila, nikiromla!', 'Engala patha epdi theriyuthu'. Why should we be the source of someone's irritation? By the way if I irritated anyone with this blog, am sorry! ;)
Then came home flipped few pages in microprocessors...spent few minutes watching a nice movie, "Thiruda Thiruda". Saw only the beginning missed the rest. Hope they play it again. That's all for today. Oh, now the time is 12 A.M, the next day?, Okay, Gudmrng! (Reference to blog posted on october 22nd)Thought Citibank story would be a nice comedy story but turning out to be a tragic one, a sincere advice, beware of citibank! Will write when the whole story gets over.

Days are going without planning!
Study holidays are running very fast. Exams are around the corner. Nothing great for the past two days, except for wasting time... ;)
Thanks for the wonderful suggestions but its not my card its dad's and dad will never do all that. When I get one will follow your ideas @ thamizhan & kanniya. No idea about 'dead beat', pls give the answer! Let us know @ santhosh.
There will be some discontinuity in posting my blogs till my exams are over. Anywaz will turnup with loads and loads 2 share......Keep an eye in this space....Just out of curiousity a silly question striked, "Why do humans have the tendency to postpone?"

Credit card holders - Beware!
Hai,
It was a very pleasant climate, when I wokeup! The day went on well till my dad got his Citibank bill through post. Last month we were supposed to pay 15000 and dad did pay, but the bill says recieved Rs 1500 with thanks! In a hurry I called to the citibank call center and enquired about the mistyped amount. The citibank employee at the other end answered very cooly, "No Mam, You have paid only 1500". Thank god the bill payment was done in cheque and hence dad had the passbook with proper entries. After saying that we have proof of paying the whole lot of amount well ahead of the last date, the lady said "Send the xerox copy of the passbook by fax". Irony of the story is this process would obvioulsy take another 15days, by the time next month bill would come with over due charges, late fee etc etc. Its becoming a tendency for big organisations like this to take advantage of others carelessness. So I learnt that we should always have a watchful eye in these issues like card bills, supermarket bills, postpaid phone connections etc. Climax of the story?? Yeah, even am eagerly waiting for the response that would be after they receive passbook xerox copy.
Have a gr8 day,

Greatest glory in living is not in, never falling, but in rising every time after falling!
Greatest glory in living is not in never falling, but in rising every time after falling
I just read the article about Former President Saddam's trial in newspaper. Capturing another President and ill-treating and humiliating like this is something really unacceptable and unbearable. It raises a question, When such a condition prevails for a President what would be for other common citizens. Whatever crime President would have committed, he is the head of that country and the necessary protocol should be given. Had this been the condition then almost all heads of each country must be punished badly. Authorities of FEMA, in spite of knowing about the hurricane well ahead, refused to do any precautionary measures. But they were quiet sure and wicked to save their own skins. Who will punish these people? In fact a recent press release said, President also visited the hurricane, affected areas very leisurely, that too visited only safer places. So that includes President of America as well under the list. The mysterious reaction (keeping mum in Saddam's issue) of other countries, is still more surprising. Anywaz present concern is not whether he is guilty or not but the treatment given to him is unfair. After all he is a human too, when people are ready to forgive the criminals involved in the death of Rajiv Gandhi, why not him? Greatest glory in living is not in never falling but in rising every time after falling. Hope President Saddam has a rise too...
PS: Last sentence gives way to another interesting blog, "Forgiving Criminals-Practically acceptable or not?" ;)

Tutor- Source of inspiration or irritation?
Starting a blogId was a long time proposal, atlast I have suceeded. I am Ponnarasi doing my 3rd year graduation. I reside at Chennai,Tamilnadu. This week we had our semester lab exams. For the second time same external came, who hardly knows how to behave in front of students. I am still wonder'g how he is being employed in Sathyabama.
I guess, a tutor should be a source of inspiration, but this one ah...is a source of irritation. He suppresses and hurts everyone by giving unwanted comments. Still more surprising why he is being called semestr aftr semester. Worst part of the story is he has published few books which contains only,'is,or,this, that' and few technical terms. I really cud'nt make out how our teachers cud take such insults, bcoz i guess these are insults not only to the students but also to the Institution and the academicians employed.Life is afterall full of experiments or experiences, he has taught us a lesson, none of the 63students including me will dare to hurt any1 in future. 1billion dollar question is,"does he really has some matter or is a empty vessel?" Guess I will turnup the next time with some pleasant issues.
