The Clearing!

Hi,
First of all, My sincere apologies for posting few posts and deleting them. I will make sure that this will not be repeated in future. And this post is about a movie that i happened to see today. It was too good. And movie's title is : The Clearing . The story is about a business man- Wayne Hayes (Robert Redford) being kidnapped and the pain his wife -Eileen (Helen Mirren) undergoes. It depicts the true love between the couple. They both love each other but seem unsure of what their lives are all about now that the kids have grown up and left home.

In any relation, trust is the basic need. But, never have enormous trust is yet another lesson. At times you pour loads of love and affection along with trust and the person doesnt value, you feel all the more worse. And this psychology develops like a cat and milk story. ;) Soodu patta poonai thirumba paal kudikka varatham. Katha therilana ask me :D Solren! So atleast for few days you dont trust anyone and on the whole you dont feel like being yourself.
Well this neglected feeling is not only between Lover and Lady love, Husband and Wife, its happens between two friends, workers or anyone. If the trust is shaken, the relationship is also shaken.

This movie speaks about true love which is way beyond just meeting and dating. So watch this movie when you find time, though its a old movie.. :)

Ponnarasi Kothandaraman said...

@ Alex
Wt does ur questn mean? If u meant wt does the movie portray love as??? Then the movie goes abt explaing wt true love is, excelltn part is, even after the wife finds tht this man has an affair with another lady...she stils wants him back..
Bytheway Welcome here! :)

alex said...

Hmmm...yes, that is what i wanted to know. Because these days, rarely do movies come out trying to show love. Usually it is only about romance.

My pleasure to read your blog. :)

Ponnarasi Kothandaraman said...

@ Alex
Yeah.. I wantd 2 make a mention of tht.. Its nt abt flirting and dating ;) Its beyond tht :)

will check it out. Redford is a terrific actor. U also need to watch the Ransom (Mel Gibson) where his son gets kidnapped and Frantic (Harrison Ford) where his wife gets kidnapped. Both are awesomne movies

yengayo nalla sudu pattuteenga polirukku ;)

BTW, you don't expect anything between friendship or love; thats the true meaning of being in relations. The moment you expect and reciprocate for what you got, you loose the real love. Bit confusing, but think about it, you will have some surprises :D

Ponnarasi Kothandaraman said...

@ Gundumama
Oru mannum purila..

scudie said...

Gundumama is absolutely right. True love (whether romantic, brotherly, familial) is one where you give, forgive and never ask for anything in return. If you get something, fantastic. If you dont, well tough luck. Find someone/something that will reciprocate. A dog maybe?

It sounds simple, but just try it for one day and u'll realize how difficult it is.

@ Scudie,
Well..I totally agree to what you and Gundumamma have said.
But it takes time to realise certain things in life.. ;)
I mean you will need your own time.. You wont get convinced to people's say unless you really feel so..
We dont expect anything in true love-- Absoultely right.

@ Gundumamma..
Understood now...

nice post.. you gotta trust others and without trust you can't achieve anything, but if the trusted doesn't perform as expected, you should just move on.. life is like that..

Sorry for the late commenting.... So u watch englipish movies also ???

You are definetly right in saying that this feeling is between anybody. But I believe in "Forgive and forget" - guess you would remember the mail :).

Ofcourse as a human even I would feel very worse when the person I care so much doesnt really understand that or reciprocate that. But im trying my best to overcome that.. partially succeeded too.

Padam nallauruku nu Neeye sollite, Will definetly try to watch it.
