Cashing big on dreams!

For the first time a book inspired me to blog about it. If you are a person who would not want to spend time in useful reading then this is not the right book. If you are a person who wants to be in a dream world but not ready to have a dream of your own, then again this is not the right kind of book for you. There are so many people with different attitudes which everyone of us have come across but if you want to see a book which has a right attitude then this would be the apt book. Yeah, this is a book which expresses its own attitude in a subtle manner.

The author has mentioned about his personal and professional life with exact mixture very cautiously . It cannot be categorized as an autobiography completely and the book has managed to give a satisfactory read on the management side as well. Nice guide for young entrepreneurs.

The initial chapters deal with precise idea on setting your dream and the possible ways to approach it. The later chapters deal with the obstacles the author faced to realize his dream. The decline in his professional life after reaching the top-most designation in his entire career is very well explained. The way he managed to hit the correct balance between the professional and personal life is more inspiring and challenging. The author without much effort has explained the failures or the unexpected happenings which served as stepping stones that he came across. Many anecdotes make us realize that failures are not just for us but for great industrialists too. It makes us understand that the greatest achievements overshadows the greatest failures at some point in life. A few lines from the book would explain my above statement.

"Deven, I have been listening to heaps of praises about you for over two years. It looks like they were just baloney. I fought for you right up to Jack Welch. Now you have the guts to tell me that you want to quit. Go back and work on a blue print of making YMS sourcing the best global sourcing operation in entire GE and deliver min 8% productivity every year consistently. You have all the qualities in making this happen. I will give you four weeks to come back with your plan."

Apart from all these the author has also thrown some light on the country Japan, Japanese culture, language, tradition and the Japanese community. He has introduced a few words in Japanese along with English translation which makes the read more interesting. A few words that were very impressive which I could not forget are.

"Honne - is what you would actually say, do or feel. Tatemae- is a more logical answer or a view that you say or show to please the other. "

The author has taken great effort to speak his mind and heart with the right proportion. The above image might serve as a supporting fact for the above statement of mine.

Crystal clear facts:
  • Not the most spoken about book ( I was greatly appalled to see that the book had only one reader in a social network for books.)
  • Leisure read and not a book that demands serious attention.
  • 100% satisfactory read.

Engirundhu vandhayada!

Everything appeared like tiny ants moving actively here and there. Meenu had the feeling of looking at Google map that most of the time she prefers to do in free time. All that she could see clearly was water and land. Having been the first time in air borne she was looking at everything with amusement like an excited kid. The air hostess came nearer to her and offered a tray full of chocolates and other preliminary things as usual. As soon as Meenu saw that she was reminded of the whole lot of instructions and precautionary that was told by Imran starting from what to eat and what not to eat, when to step down of the plane, where to go for exchanging money till the time she has to go to bed. Immediately she was also reminded of her mom’s words while waving good bye in airport, “Meenu, make sure you don’t skip breakfast how you used to do here”. “Yeah yeah ma. I will take good care of myself. Not to worry”. And her dad’s usual asserting tone “Be cautious and don’t forget to give a call from France and also after reaching America” . “Ok pa, after food 2 tablets for Amma and one in morning for you pa”. As she was thinking about all these tears rolled down her cheeks. With the same speed she wiped off her tears she wanted to wipe off the missing thoughts and decided to take a nap. She just followed the others who was also going to America mechanically and realized that she has landed United States of America.

Tring tring……..Tring tring… Cling…..“Alo,amma. Meenu. I reached safe ma. Tried appa’s mobile and it is not reachable. You inform appa when he comes for lunch. Took the medicines ma?”. “Yes appa gave me before he left to office.” “Ok ma I will call after getting settled. Love you ma!”. She was quite confused if she has to call Imran about her reaching safe. Meenu was greatly surprised by her change in the past few months, especially having been with Imran in the same project and having been spent most of the time together both at office and after office hours. She feels she is very happy being with Imran. Whenever Imran says he is suffering from Arthritis, her heart wants to say “I want to be with you and give all the comfort I can and I want to take good care of you”. She then consciously realizes it is not something that a friend has to say. With all these thoughts she grabbed the phone from the desk and dialed Imran’s number. His ring tone Unakkul naaney urugum….. was heard and “Dai Meenu, why so late? Was everything comfortable? Where are you now?” She was quite surprised as how he guessed right it was her and then thought may be seeing the ISD number he would have guessed it right. “Hm..Yeah, am safe and am at my friends place. Just now called home and then thought of calling you. How is Romeo & Juliet? Have they got accustomed to your place?”. “Yes, they are just fine and I am totally responsible for them. Don’t worry!” “Ok Imran, have a good day. I will talk to you later”.

“Meenu you forgot to logoff your messenger account. Some message from Imran has popped in the screen. Are you coming?”. “Ya Kalai tell him I would buzz in another hour.” Having been away from home very often for studies Meenu never felt home sick but the long distance did make her feel a little odd. She is a kind of person who has a lot of friends always around her. Meenu comes out of the kitchen and announces to her friends “Kodumai is ready. Please come to the dining for animal testing!”. Followed by giggling sound, Kalai replies “Won’t be worse than our kodumais da”. After dinner Meenu gets hold of the only laptop there in the room. In her buddy list Imran appears online. As she types “Oi Meesakara!” there pops a message “Meenu I have to go out in couple of minutes, will wait for another 5more minutes, if you don’t turn up by then, I will call you tonight by IST time”.

Meenu: Escape aagatha…Inga than iruken.

Imran: Adi kalli. Were u here all these time?

Imran: Ok ok …wait a second. I got to tell you something right now. The whole day was horrible. I am very much afraid as how am going to spend every day without you. Invariably my eyes peeped in your cubicle whenever I passed by your place and when I ordered things in cafeteria, I ordered for two persons. And for every Vodafone or my other friends SMS I thought it was you. Sounds dumb???? Yeah yeah apram than nenachen nammala pudicha oru saniyan US poirukuda athaan am feeling like missing something nu. :P Ni rumba methagatha! :D

Meenu: Hahaha hehehe hohoho…Unakku theva da ithellam. Did you ever respond to my calls properly? Or did you ever come in time whenever I called you for coffee? Nalla iru! I wish to hear more like this as days pass by! :P

Imran: Hm…Did you call Ravi there? Sollu enoda friend’nu kodumaya gavanichipan ;)

Meenu: Oi I wanted to tell you something else, Arthiritis ku illa etho operation panna sari’a poidumam. Shall I ask for more details? Will you be considering this?

Imran: As of now, I have other commitments in life. Thanks da anyways. Don’t waste time on it. I am financially very much occupied for few more years.

Meenu: Seri seri. Un puranatha cha sorry Quran aramichidatha ;)

Days pass by and Meenu makes it a practice to call her parents once in every two days. Even when she was in India Meenu just had very few time to spend at home and with family. Meenu and Kalai while on their way to the nearest grocery shop, “What a pleasant climate!” says Meenu. “Hm. Amam” replies Kalai. “Imran kooda ipdi than he just doesn’t enjoy his life. He is always worried about something or the other. I wish I take control of his brain one day *winks*” says Meenu. “Excuse me. I did agree it’s a good climate and whats the comparison all about now” asked Kalai. “Meenu I want to talk to you about something very important.” “Sollunga paati” “Don’t get offended Meenu. I just want to share my views about the relationship between you and Imran”. As soon as Kalai finishes her verse, Meenu becomes more defensive and says “It’s just like any other male and female friendship. Whats about it!”. “Hm..I feel you are talking about him more all the time. It’s like you are waiting for opportunity to speak about him and you enjoy every moment of talking”. “Kalai I can understand your concern but I am not a kid. I am 26 and he is 35. So I know about all these. It’s just unadultered friendship. Quit the topic now.” After reaching home, Meenu is lost in thought and surprised as why she became all the more defensive and vulnerable to the topic that Kalai started. She was not quite sure if she was missing Imran just as the way he confessed to her. But she was also sure about not sending any wrong signals to Imran. She was not sure if she has to consider what Kalai told seriously. She was not quite sure if she has to give a serious thought about it as well. Being the only child to her parents she never had any sibling to discuss her mind. And she thought of bringing the same topic back to the surface with Kalai. Next day from Meenu’s office she types a quick mail to Kalai.

“Kalai, I am sorry for being rude yesterday. I think I have something to discuss with you. Can you spare sometime this evening? I feel you are the right person for me to talk both my heart and mind next to Imran. Yeah yeah, I typed Imran. And it’s about him I want to discuss few things Kalai : )” As per plan Kalai and Meenu meets in the car parking and spends some quality time together and then heads home.

“Meenu you got a call from Imran and he told you to give a call in skype once you are back” says one of her room mates. After freshening up Meenu calls Imran. “Amma kitta solren iru unga ponnu anga U.S full’a suthittu irukka velaye pakka matengranu”. Meenu says ”Solli than paaren Mr.Meesakara! Sollu but next time veetuku ulla vidalanna enakkum athukum sambandam illa…hehehe.” “Apdi vera nenappa, solli Aunty nambida poranga paren. Ni India varumbothu Unna than sekka porathilla. Apram adaikalam thedi enkita than varanum. Solliten ” “Dai Imran, I had a thought while I was thinking about Romeo and Juliet today. I will tell what it is later. Before that how are they? Are you cleaning the water twice every day? Fishes are very sensitive. Please nalla paathuko : ( ni varushathukku oru naal kulikra maari athungala naara vidratha pls…Hehehe.” “Neram di neram, en solla maata! What is the thought that you wanted to share Meenu?” I had an imagination that Romeo is telling these lines to Juliet…

“Nee thediya pothu un arugil naan illai,
Nee thoongum pothu unnai thaalata naanillai,
Aaanal nee ninaikkum pothu un manathellam naan iruppen”.

Epdi iruku Imran?? Imran asks, “Should I use my brain and answer?” “Aaaha aramichutan da. Enna solli thola!” “When did Romeo miss Juliet or vice versa for this kavithai to make sense? They are always in the same tank right infront of my bed. They have never departed from the moment they were bought, right? Romba yosikama intha kavithaya ketta very romantic and very well felt by heart and written.” “Santhosam Imran. Un kitta poi soneney!” “Dai Meenu loosu, seri iru..Juliet wants to say something back to Romeo. Do you want to know what it is?” “mm..Sollu” says Meenu.

“Ninaivodu than pesa mudiyavillai..
Kanavodu pesalam enral,
un ninaivugal ennai thoonga viduvathillai”

“Are they sleeping in different rooms Imran? To my knowledge you are very stingy to provide each of them a fish tank, apram epdi intha kavithai?” asks Meenu. “Vidu Meenu vidu, Adikadi ni valaravey illa’nu prove panra. Un room mate yarathu iruntha koopdu kavitha solli madakka mudiyuma pakren *winks*” “Oh padipa padipa, Inga unaku Maami vela pannava vanthen naa??” “Udaney murungamaram eridatha : ( I am not that badly hitting girls dear. Paathi kelavan naan ;) evalum thirumbi kooda paaka maata!” “Oh rumba varuthamoooo” “Ithu othu varathu vitruvom antha pecha!” “Po po ni yevalayathu nenachu kanavu kaanu, naa kelambren. Vela iruku neraya. Aprama pesren. Tata” “Ok marakkama un room mates ellarayum ketatha sollu. Orutharayum vitratha! :D ” “PODA Kezhava, I am loggin off!”

Imran was sure that he likes Meenu even more than a friend. All that it mattered to him was how compatabile Meenu would be for his society and his family & friends. As far as only both of them are concerned Meenu is perfect for him. But he was not sure about his parents and Meenus parents view about them getting married. Months pass by and Imran’s mobile sings Unakkul naaney ring tone. Seeing the ISD code Imran attends with so much happiness and its not Meenus voice but some other girl saying She wants to talk with Imran about her friend Meenu. Imran gets all the more tensed and enquires “Is Meenu alright? Where is she and who is this?” The lady voice says “Yes she is doing great. This is Kalai her room mate.” After a 45minutes conversation Kalai says “Let Meenu not know about this right now and disconnects the line”. The next day Imran decides to meet Meenu’s parents at her home.

(To be continued…)

Apdinnu potta enna kola paniduvanga Imran and Meenu ;)

Story continues....

Imran visits Meenu's parents and explains that their daughter likes him and he is craving to get married to their daughter Meenu. Kindly consider our wishes and Meenu has still not yet given any reply, I assume she is waiting to consult with you or is reluctant as her decision might hurt her parents. All that I could say now is 'Unga ponna en ullankaila vechu pathukaapen!' This is my card, you can call or come to my place any time.

Kalai's conversation with Imran the other day triggered all these. "Imran, Meenu is these days very different. She is so much worried about her future. One day when I asked about you, she told me "Kalai many a times when Imran says he is not well i have felt very bad and had wanted to be by his side. Ni ketapo enaku kovam vanthuchu nethu than i was thinking about these Kalai. Not just this many occasions I have found my dad's replica in him. I always have dreamnt that my guy should have atleast some features of my dad. I really saw appa in him. In short i feel a day is not complete if i dont talk with him or talk about him and i feel my life would be incomplete without him in it said Meenu." I shoud say I was happy that Meenu realised her love for you and something else is stopping her from expressing her love towards you. I think its my responsibilty to let you know about it. Let Meenu not know about this right now and disconnects the line."

P.S: 1) I wish a very happy married life to Padma and Karthik :)
2)I wish a very Happy married life to Ash and Sarin who are going to be wedded very soon. :D
3) Kavithai is not mine. Got it as SMS forward.*Updated*

Dire need of awareness??

I happened to read a very interesting article
In continuation with the above article, Famous columnist, Iain Murray in National Review commented that "The prize should have been shared with well known peace campaigner Osama bin Laden". And the same journal decided to title its anti- environmental blog as 'Planet Gore'. Above lines are few intro's so as not to leave the readers in a maze. I am entitled to thank Mr Gore for being involved in a controversial subject and there by indirectly inspiring me to read about him and his works (Greenpeace, Global Warming, Climate change etc).

This post is gonna be totally different from the rest of mine :) I am going to place the facts and then I may or may not conclude what am trying 2 convey! In short understanding whichever way is your choice...

Layman Facts:
  • Recent poll by BBC says "Only 47% in India believed that climate change was a human induced problem, whereas in U.S, China the awareness rating is higher".
  • USA despite of being the world's biggest per capita emitter refuses to ratify the Kyoto Protocol.
  • China being the second biggest emitter in the world has started taking measures to increase their renewable energy upto 15% by 2020.
  • Even if the all the countries take steps towards the right path the warming would be 1.7 to 1.9 degrees Celsius average. Experts has set 2 degree Celsius as absolute max after which we have every possibility to go from a serious impact on climate change to catastrophic impact on climate change.
Technical Facts:
  • Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the gas most significantly enhancing the greenhouse effect. Plant respiration and decomposition of organic material release more than 10 times the CO2 than released by human activities, but these releases have generally been in balance during the centuries leading up to the industrial revolution. Since the industrial revolution amounts have increased by 30%.
  • Greenhouse gases such as CO2 and methane are increasing, so too is aerosol in the atmosphere, from human made sulphur emission. These small particles reflect back some of the sunlight and hence act to slow down the cooling. However where carbon dioxide can remain in the atmosphere for 100 years, sulphate aerosols only last a few days and can be easily removed by rain (acid rain). Therefore they only temporarily mask the full effect of CO2.
What can we do to slow down this warming?
As copied from the link above...

By sharing technologies, experience and resources we can hopefully lower the greenhouse gas emissions and reduce the threat of global climate change. Choose clean energy options where available, such as wind, solar and wave power, these do not emit greenhouse gases and are renewable. Individually, we can recycle material, insulate our homes, take public transport and think about energy efficiency in the home.

A balance is needed between the needs of the living and our obligations to future generations.

Enna solla varanu thaney kekreenga! :D
We hold a very huge & answerable responsibility in not spoiling the present environment and providing better environment for the future along with the fact -Economic growth of our country is also essential.

P.S: Any post related to green peace, global warming, climate change or anyway related to this topic kindly let me know through gmail. I would be very glad to link up here in my blog as suggested by couple of my friends. This is just a step towards 'not being naive', so as to falsify BBC report which said majority of India is unaware of global warming & its consequences!

Vanden Vanden meendum naaney vanthen. ;)

Last few days had been using ‘Am busy’, or ‘am quite occupied now’ or ‘Am having quality time with my family’ very often. Quite a lot of friends got damn pissed off with my sudden vanishing act and I thought, me updating about what I was busy with would be apt at this time.

1) Brother and his family had come down to India and we had a real great time together. I have a smart, adorable nephew who is 5years old who taught me to Whistle but I didn’t get it and taught me to show ‘I love you’ in sign language and so on :D . The dinner with all the family members, movie watching, outing and overtime chats in the night were all just great and cherishable.

2) Had shifted our home to a new place. The shifting work was so damn interesting. By looking at the speed of our work, dad kind of got annoyed with us (me, sister and brother). After getting a small ‘archanai’ from dad we all decided to really work on shifting. Having been away for almost more than a year, there were so many things to discuss, tease and bully around in short ‘siblings talks’. Finally we stayed up till 2’o clock in the night and finished with the packing.

3) Getting accustomed to a new place and getting to know things around in the new house were both enjoyeable and bugging (at times). ;)

In the above said process there were so many noteable incidents among which I will share the one that really appalled me.

While me and my sis went to one of the Private Banks to do a task, we were made to wait and there was a long queue there. All of a sudden my sis who was waiting in another queque popped before me and said “Turn ur face and stand” I didn’t understand what she was trying to do. But then she again insisted and said “Turn!” and maneuvered me to do so. I didn’t like the way she treated me and asked what the reason was, after which she told me that the guy who was standing in front of us was taking pictures using his mobile. I said don’t make assumptions and before I could complete the sentence this guy dropped his mobile and we were shocked to see my picture in his mobile. I was thrown aback seeing that. I usually get angry with sis saying don’t be over cautious about everything. And I really felt bad for having taken very light when sis 1st told me. I waited till the errand in the bank was over and went to that guy and told “I don’t like my picture being stored in any strangers mobile. Kindly delete that.” He was very much embarrassed when he dropped the mobile. I assume he did delete : ( But I just learnt don’t take others words very light.

4) Am hammering these while am in travel with our family through Tambaram,Dindivanam,Panrooti,Neyveli,Gangaikondasolapuram,Jayamkondam, Kumbakonam,Tanjaore,Pudukottai,Tirumayam,Manamadurai,Madurai. We went to a temple called ‘Thiruvanaikaval’ which is in Trichy. I would recommend people who get amused with good architecture, sculptures should visit there. Will try to upload some photos sometime later.

5) Finished a novel ‘Seduction by design’ and while I got little bored with listening to music I just thought of asking for the Lenova from Dad and pouring my thoughts and there by updating my friends who got very angry for me not giving any contact number and for not keeping in touch these days :( Due to the above reasons kindly excuse my absence .Yours sincerely… Ponnarasi. Hehehe..Kidding.. Leave letter eluthiye pazhagi pochu ;) Jokes apart! Makes oneself feel good when getting to know that you were being missed and your absence was felt :) Hm.. Ipothaikku avlothan.. C ya in next post..

Note: Look out for a funny incident that happened few days back in the updated version of the same post. Am being threatened that this story will be made public soon :( Thought me telling my version earlier would be better.... Hehehe... Kindly dont bother if u didn't understand.. :P

Jeremiad!

You are expecting some forward mails or some quotes looking at the title? I don't have any of them here. Something more interesting than those! Yeah! Realistic feeling when life really sucks! It is the time when you get reminded that you forgot to sleep while you were mulling over something. And sometime around 3AM you get a SMS popping in the mobile conveying that your replies were indifferent asking if things were alright. And you have few mails asking explanation for the act of disappearance and not responding to their calls or mails or messages. Of course all these puts a smile in your face at least for a moment for some of your friends who bothers about you. But still what good is it gonna make to things that you are bothered about? You eventually realize that its high time you learn to cry with out tears, time to learn to cry without sobbing. Because you don't like crying in front of others! Anyways am glad that i was being cared about despite of me trying to act normal. To certain others who think "Hey! Were u pissed off. But u never sounded that way when i spoke with u" then its time to appreciate that am adept @ pretending. And to the rest who really didn't realize that i still exist in this world, I agree that there are 1001 other useful and important jobs for you to look after. Friends who have been telling that "am with so much of positive energy", "R u doing anything related 2 HR, u sound more like a relationship expert ", here is the other side of me! I am not all that I sounded always! May be how people take things to their heart really differs from person to person. And thats what sensitivity is defined as.

By the way am not looking for any sympathies or empathies here. And more importantly any en queries about this post by any means will not be encouraged. After all no one is ever happy and no one is ever sad! Intention of this post is just to use my dear blog as a source for venting out my emotions.

Invisible, Imaginary friend!

A person gets all weird imagination and thoughts when he/she is either in a too good mood or when he/she is in a too bad mood. Few days ago while i was really in a bad mood and i got into my room i was thinking how good it will be if i have a person to share things that bothered me. Because not always you feel like sharing things that puts you off with everyone or even anyone at all. And also not always people are really free or ready to listen to your sorrows.

May be considering the comfort factor it would be great, if you have a friend who is invisible to others and visible only to you and who doesn't really exist at all.

What difference does it make from a reality friend???
  • You can vanish away the imaginary friend when you don't want him/her.
  • Imaginary friend will be always available for you.
  • He/She can be as nice as you want and never hurts/annoys you.
  • You have the liberty to choose the gender, the looks- height and weight, the complexion etc ;)
Clarifications
  • I don't mean devilish or any satanic effects
  • I don't mean to develop any psychological problem. Researchers have proved that it creates positive effect on a person and it need not be considered as a problem.
  • I don't refer to talking alone rather imagining someone is with you and you really don't utter words but still communicate with your imaginary, invisible friend.
"Researchers have estimated that as many as 65 per cent of children have had an imaginary companion at some point.

But it is not just children who converse with invisible companions. Explorer Dave Mill created his imaginary friend Nobody at the age of 34 as a survival mechanism during a solo walk to the North Pole." as said by one of the researcher.

So who is your imaginary, invisible friend? Have you had any in your child hood? If not create one soon and let me know who it is ;) *winks*

Kids or Young adults????

Infinite Talent shows, opportunities as child artists, unlimited exposures in TV and to the public, enormous fame and money. Kids these days have so many talents and proper opportunity along with right place to stage those talents as well. They get to move along with every one easily and come out of being shy bird easily along which the child being innocent also gets reduced. The more a kid is exposed to the outside world the more the kid is entitled to lose its innocence. Are kids matured enough to handle these?

Apart from these talent shows, kids are also going crazy about acting or modeling at a very young age. I was greatly astounded when a child artist in one of the interviews told "Enku neriya uncles kooda act panni, world famous aagnum'nu aasai". Mazhalai kooda maarala! :( I recently heard from a authentic source that a kid is being paid Rs 15K to 20K for a still in the modeling field. And kids who act as child artists in movies are even paid in lakhs. Finally they find no time for self improvement in the long run. They dont have time to their daily home works, most of them do not perform well in their academics. This not only disturbs the kids education but also affects the kids psychologically. According to a research Kids who are made to act in death scenes, who are made to cry before a dead body, casting like the kids close relatives are dead and the kids mourning for that, kids acting like mentally retarded undergo psychological problems. In order to avoid these problems other countries have a rule as to have a child psychiatrist in the shooting spot and kids are allowed to act only in the vacation. Here in India, there is a widespread news that parents are shifting from their own places to places like Mumbai, Kodambakkam where the opportunities for acting is more.

Kids tend to learn bad things from these exposures easily. Starting from using words that are not supposed to be heard from a kids mouth, using vengeance statements as told by the villains & villis in soaps & movies. Kids are no longer behaving like kids! Practically its hard to keep away from these exposures unless and until everyone in the society has concern about the future generation. Preaching & practice Starts from home. Parents avoiding fighting in front of the kids and avoiding playing blame games, avoiding watching violence movies/soaps would contribute to saving the vulnerable kids from bad things. No where i convey the meaning to grow kids naive. Exposure to the right thing at the right age is more important in young ones life!

Bday for MY 1st Hero!

Iniya Pirandha naal VaazhthukkaL Appa :D
Dad, you deserve the very best
As that's what you're about
When things don't always go well
You're not the one who cuts out

Your most impressive feature is
You take everything in stride
Giving strength to the ones around you
And leaving a peacefulness inside

Sorting out all the important things
Letting go of all the other
I think that's what makes you
A dear and special father

How Smart you are!

I just want you to know, you mean the world to me. Only a heart as dear as yours would give so unselfishly.

The many things you've done, all the times that you were there. Helps me know deep down inside how much you really care.

Even though I might not say, I appreciate all you do. And I want the man I marry to be a father just like you!

Pa, Now that I’m older, I realize just how smart you are!
Happy Birthday, Appa!

P.S:
Sutta Wordings! Not my own!

Sun signs!

This post is all about sun signs and the people who astounded me with their behaviors as mentioned according to their signs.

Had couple of formalities in college being in the final year. Clearing the library account was one among those. Kadasiya enna books ellam paaka mudiyumo, edukka mudiyumo oru thadava menjudalm'nu ponapo happened to see a book on Sun signs. kooda vanthavanga kitta 15mins apram will c u in canteen'nu seygai kamichitu book'oda okkanthen.

I continued reading about my sun sign. Piscean! Despite of being insulted by many of my friends with the most often asked question, 'you are a piscean???? ' I still tried to find some similarities with my sun sign.

I googled couple of sites as well. Hehehe.. Vela vetti illana ipadi than :P Well, you can also try finding the similarities and differences between your characters and the sun signs. Provided you are really jobless :D

Googled results from various sites, about pisceans!

  • Whoever said, "I don't want to be a millionaire-I just want to live like one," was truly reflecting the Piscean philosophy.
  • You may have read that the Pisces symbol of two fish, ? swimming in opposite directions, indicates that the Neptunian is torn by dual desires. It's not so. Dual desires belong to Gemini. The two fish in reversed directions symbolize the choice given Pisces: to swim to the top-or to swim to the bottom and never quite reach his goals. Pisces must leam that he is to serve mankind in some way, and eschew worldly possessions. Piscean Einstein, who swam upstream, formulated a whole new world of relative time. Pisceans who swim downstream serve by washing dishes or shoveling snow. The choice is always there, because there's never a lack of unusual talent, but the fish, with eyes that see clearly on both sides, sometimes has difficulty seeing straight ahead. Pisces often retreats-either to the sublime heights of a dedicated professional life, or to stimulants, artificial emotions and false excitement.
  • Pisces may share compassion for the ill with Virgo, but he takes the extra step to try to understand the hearts of the burdened and the friendless, the failures and the misfits, no matter how weird or how rejected by society. The fish will gently comfort those whom Virgo feels are weak by choice, and therefore undeserving. If you need a dime or a dollar, a large loan, or just a small encouragement that no one else would give, go to Pisces. You'll get no lectures and no glances of superiority. He judges no man-thief, murderer, addict, pervert, sinner, saint, hypocrite or liar. Greed, lust, sloth and envy will bring no critical wrath, if he's a typical Neptunian. His understanding overflows, along with whatever practical help he's able to offer. He senses every vice and virtue, and he knows each pitfall.

You'll frequently find fish who have buried their personal dreams to brighten odd corners of the lives of relatives and friends, or to bring the gift of tears and laughter to the public through the stage, at the cost of the privacy Pisces seeks and needs. Yet Neptune is a deceptive planet, capable of giving birth to natures that twist and turn in two directions at once, distorting the truth, an influence which often causes Pisces to hide his real emotions.
  • The Pluto of Scorpio combines with your Neptune in a unique manner. It adds up to intuitive knowledge in both of you. You tune in on Scorpio. You learn, and teach: you and a Scorpio might make a wonderful pair in teaching metaphysics. That is, you are a team that could promote the unusual, the unique, and the areas, which are usually reserved for people with exotic tastes.
  • Pisces-Gemini is filled with ideas. And some- times the ideas are fired at you as if with a machine gun. It is up to you to choose the best, to be discriminating, to be selective. Gemini stimulates your intellectual curiosity. The two signs are not well aspected; there are problems to overcome. There are obstacles. But, on the positive side, these can be regarded as healthy challenges.
  • You are generous, caring, and kind. However, you tend to be more concerned about other people's problems than your own. You are not a decisive person and may change your mind many times. You are also a follower, but you do not always choose good leaders. Because of your good qualities, you are popular with many types of people, but when you are secretive you drive these friends away. Weak concentration skills can get you into trouble at school.
Sabba, Ippovey kanna katuthey ;) Seri seri.. Yarum enna thitatheenga for wasting ur time :P Anyone interested to contribute to extend the interest in this study, please drop in your date of birth and you might have 2 answer couple of personal questions as well..... Hehehehehe

Disclaimer:

Dont have any wrong ideas!
Vettiya irunthathala intha vetti vela, vera entha ennamum intha post'ku kaaranam illai! Hehehehe..... So, Dont shoot any wrong or embarrassing questions pls :D

Dare 2 do so.. Appala Osama Maama than :P

The intimacy in few relations are shortlived???

Couple of things kept me busy for a while and here am with a very nice template given by Badri and an inquisitive post.

There are so many people we happen to meet in our life. Among which only with quite few we establish friendship and not all friends make a profound impact in our lives. Friendship is the only word which can be used to define a relation between a 19 year old and 90 year old. There might be a very good friend with whom we share everything that happens around us and as days pass by each of us might get busy with the new phase of life or get busy with the mechanical life. Then the closeness in the relation slowly reduces. Of course we don’t forget the person who was very close to us at some point in life but still we feel something is missing. We still might be in contact with that friend but the voidness in the intimacy would be felt easily.

At every stage of our life, there must be someone very close or someone whom we really liked much. As soon as we think of the days in school, in college or in a particular house or in a street or in an office there must be some one flashing in our mind who was exceptionally close than the rest of the others. I just happened to see a photo of me and one of my friend who was very close to me few years back. Her grandfather had professional contact with dad and then we happened to be more of family friends. She used to stay with us in our house and we have had all kind of pranks and plays and talks. There was nothing that we failed to do together. Now their place is far from ours though we are still in contact. But still the intimacy which we had that time is missing. The situation is worse if there are best friends among which the genders are opposite. And one gets committed to work or to another person in life and again the intimacy is lost. I was just wondering in few relations if the intimacy is very short lived or it appears that way. But I just learnt that never fail to express that you feel great, comfortable with that person at that point of time. Practically speaking being close with all the friends from our childhood is not possible. Express that their presence in your life is valued with your words or a warm hug would speak more than any number of words. At least you can be happy that you made some one feel great about oneself.

Expressing that you are happy because of some one is a great open secret but very rarely we realize and make use of it. May it be between friends or between a student and a teacher or between mom and kid or between husband and wife or in any relation, express their presence in your life is valued and it can never be replaced we will happen to see enigmatic happiness in oneself and in others life as well.

Who is answerable????

There is a well reputed university called SRM in a place called Potheri which is located 35kms (approximately) away from the city. Click to see the map

To reach the institution few people generally take Bus or Train and few others use their own transport. But majority of the people find the Train journey to be convenient. In between Guindy and Potheri there are at least not less than 5 colleges. So not just the people of SRM take train but also others. So mostly the morning trains are filled with majority of these college goers/staffs. In between Potheri and Airport, Meenambakkam there are around 8 stations. For the past 3weeks, people who want tickets to these eight stations are denied of tickets and are forced to take ticket till Airport for no use. From Potheri towards Meenambakkam, Guduvancherry, Urappakkam, Vandalur, Perungalathur, Tambaram Sanatorium, Tambaram, Chromepet, Pallavaram are the eight stations. Similarly from Perungalathur till Chengalpat there are no tickets. In between there are around four stations. So if the passenger’s destination is going to be any of these 4 stations again that person is forced to take ticket till Chengalpat. May be not finding seat is tolerable but not getting tickets is something which can not be accepted/tolerated. Mismanagement occurs in any organization, but when it deals with the public and public's money, is it not the responsibility of the Railway departments to plan for enough to tickets. At least this should not prolong more than 2 to 3 days.

If a person has to travel up & down, 5days in a week, then his expense would be Rs 70, which actually would be Rs 40. So weekly he/she is again forced to waste Rs 30. Logically speaking, now it’s been 3weeks so every passenger has to get back 30*3= Rs 90.

China is celebrating their hike in the total profit in Railways and Our Railways department is keen only on boasting their wise plan, having no concern about the service they provide : ) Well, now I wont encourage any kind of discouraging comments, am looking forward for any valid, useful suggestions as what can be done : ) Of course take any other means of transport is another idea. But only convenient means are always preferred.

Stones that I threw:

1) Rendu naalu without’la vanthen because vaitherichala irunthuchu for wasting money helplessly :P

2) Filed a complaint in Railways department which I believe is being used for packing snacks! :D

3) Hunting about RTI

Updated: 1) Picture of Email Sent on Feb 28th to 'THE HINDU'.

2) Screen Shot of the forum post, as suggested by 'LOGIC' in comments column on March 13.

Going abroad???!!!!!?!?!?!

Couple of things were confusing or rather bugging for the past few days. Amidst which I was happy to see two awesome templates given by Sanjayan and Ranjhith. : ) Thanks a lot. Oru paarattu vizha vekkalamnu yerpadu aitu iruku ;) Hehehe.. Manamarntha Nanrigal! :) Will put those in few days since this was replaced only few days ago. So wait to see the nice template friends.
Matter'ku varen ;)

Disclaimer: This post might not be interesting to some and even bugging for few of my friends :)

It was astounding to see many people leaving abroad for jobs these days.Till the age of 21 or 22 we are busy with our studies. Finishing the high school, getting admission in a good college to get a degree. And our parents are busy earning to spend for these expenses along with the day to day life expenditures. Somewhere after the age of 23 people get opportunities to go abroad and make a decent earning. Am entitled to do a clarification at this point. Am not talking about foreign visits in which case you stay there for some time and get back to your home land. Am talking about staying there for a very long duration and about settling there. Foreign opportunities will give you international exposure, experience in competitive world, stabilizes one's financial status. True, agreed. But all these at what cost?

* In many homes, this might be the time where the parents might have quit the career under the name Voluntary retirement or retirement. They might want to spend more time with their children or grand children. One has to miss this good time being with the family together.
* If the person has kids then the kids are missing the grand parents love & affection, the bed time stories and so on.
* Festivals like Pongal,Diwali,Christmas are being missed.
* Missing friends and relatives.
* We as sons and daughters should give a supporting hand to parents when they are in need of. No parents would even let us know that they want us to be with them. One reason- Pride takes control ;) and the second - They after all wants us to be happy. But its we the kids who should give moral and financial support when really needed without being asked or hinted for.

Early days people came from village to towns and cities for job opportunities since they had no opportunities in villages. But now India is not like that. It is just that we are aspiring for more in all aspects. As far as money is concerned, 'contentness' is a word which can never be used. First, one might want to stay abroad for a year or more to buy a car for your home in India and then another couple of years to built a house and many more years and many more commitments. All these small things which would make a happy home might appear negligible in comparison with the money, luxury and experience we earn abroad. But in the long run what do we earn in life apart from money? In the process of earning we miss many nice and pleasant things. I DON'T MEAN one should restrict going abroad but rather limit the time spending away from home, friends and relatives. A person settling in U.S or U.K, is it not like plucking a plant from its field rooting it in a different Island. Is life, all about spending 20 years of mechanical life at home land and then flying away from home and spending the rest of your life miles away???

1. Am not talking about going abroad but staying there forever
2. Am not talking just about home but also many other pleasant things being in your home land.
3. Finally, staying for few days or settling forever is one's own wish ;)

"Tell me your dream"- Tag

Hi,
Its been long since i got to write any tag. Was craving for some tag. But got none :D So just gave a thought to start a new tag called Dream Tag.

How do we go about writing this tag???

Make a post describing either the dream that came true or the dream that would never come true :) Which means one should'nt write about a dream that you think might come true in future :D Gotcha???? If you are a person who gets no dreams like me :( Then write about the dream that you dreamt while you were very much awake- I mean daydream. Hehehehe...
You can tag any number of people as u wish. :) Or you can also tag none.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My Dream Tag! :)

I got the weirdest dream ever in my life. There is an apartment which is like a mini village/city. It has 3 blocks and the block in the dead end is block C and the middle one is Block B and the one nearer to the gate is Block A. In the block C there lives a old lady who is always seen in wheel chair roaming the building premises. Another old lady is employed by this owner of the house. This owner old lady is too bad. She always tortures this old lady who is working for her. Owner oldie has a daughter in law and a son. Daughter in law is also scared by the oldie.

In Block B there is a teen age girl who is kind of mentally retarded. She scratches and hurts people with knife or any other object badly whenever she finds people around her. Though she does things unknowingly she is also scary.

In Block A there is cute little kid. This kid always gives a devilish laugh. The daughter in law in the Block C sneaks through the backside of the building to avoid mother in laws words and tortures. But this devilish kid shouts daughter in laws name and says “paati manju manju manju inga”. And the oldie and the teenager who is not mentally well don’t go well with each one. So the care taker of the teenager and the care taker of the old lady are in pathetic condition. One day they are taken for a walk and if it so happens that they meet each other one in wheel chair and the other one walking. The old lady screws the oldie who is working for her. She uses all filthy languages and scolds for making her see the teenager. So the oldie who is working for her always has to play hide and seek with the teenager girl. She hides in a place and sees if the teenager is coming for walking. For no reason am getting scared looking at the old lady, small kid and the teenager. My house is in 1st floor and I am not taking stairs or the lift to climb up. Am literally climbing or creeping by the outer boundary walls daily. I don’t have much role in this dream. :-/ Why did I get such a dream …. It was damn scary. Whenever I see some strangers like oldie, teenager or a kid it scares me to the hell.

p.s: Sorry my dream was really weird :P And am really thankful if u spent time reading it...Hehehehe
